Innovation Triangle Initiative

The Innovation Triangle Initiative (or I∆I) aims at training ESRs within the European H2020 TESLA project through R&D and at supporting the fast introduction of disruptive innovations in the European Space Industry by combining the creativity, know-how and experience of the TESLA ESRs, Academia and Space Industry. Each innovation triangle will consist of network ESR(s), academic supervisor(s) and industrial partner(s). The innovation triangles will interact with online meetings, bilateral visits, and a web forum. They will work together to discover innovative solutions to specific key problems, and to address issues such as development of new techniques, which are useful for the network partners and a wider society, as well as development of specific products of interest to the industrial partners. This leads to a dynamic training and development environment for ESRs, under which innovative ideas can be validated, developed, and used by the space industry, thus contributing to a more competitive European Space Industry. All network ESRs will take part in one innovation triangle to ensure broad exposure to innovation training through hands-on R&D experience.
